In Viseu, Portugal, Intermarché was facing challenges with their existing remote cooling system, which operated on refrigerants 449A and 404A. The system was prone to frequent breakdowns and exhibited high energy consumption. Seeking a solution to improve the energy efficiency and reliability of their commercial refrigeration, Intermarché prioritized a new system that would not only enhance energy performance but also minimize maintenance needs, leading to significant reductions in service and maintenance costs.

A total of 15 VENTO Air, 3 KALEA Freeze, 16 ATHEN, and 3 MONTEAL XL units were installed at this Intermarché store.
Notably, the entire installation, including the removal of the old system, was completed in just three night shifts, ensuring no disruption to customers and allowing the store to remain open throughout the process.
AHT Iberia also played a crucial role in optimizing the supermarket layout, which significantly enhanced the shopping experience for consumers.
With the new AHT commercial refrigeration and freezing system, Intermarché is fully compliant with F-Gas regulations. The store has also made a strong commitment to sustainability by using R290, a natural refrigerant with one of the lowest Global Warming Potentials (GWPs) available on the market.
